HOMER ASHLEY (William, Eli, Joseph, James, Joseph, David, Robert), born 22 September 1829 in West Springfield, Mass.; resides in Boston, Mass.; married 15 January 1851 in Springfield, Mass., MARY TAYLOR daughter of Franklin and Harriet Clapp (Tinker) Taylor, born 12 July 1831 in Springfield.
Homer Ashley, after pursuing a course of study at the Westfield (Mass.) Academy, entered the employ of the American Express Company in Springfield, Mass., on February 15, 1846. In 1850 he was transferred to its office in Boston, Mass., where he now holds the position of general cashier of the company.
