He married, 2d, 15 March 1809 in Westfield, Mrs. CLARISSA (NOBLE) DEWEY, widow of Eliab Dewey of Westfield, and daughter of Matthew and Lydia (Eager) Noble, born 13 September 1773 in Westfield; died 6 May 1832 in Westfield.
Stephen Ashley settled in his native town and was a shoemaker.

Theodore Ashley (Stephen, Joseph, James, Joseph, David, Robert) baptized 25 May 1800 in Westfield, Mass.; died 15 October 1855 in Springfield, Mass. ; married in 1824 in ? West Springfield, Mass., Catherine Ferre, daughter of Capt. Charles and Eunice (Chapin) Ferre of West Springfield, who died in 1879 in Syracuse, N. Y. Theodore Ashley was a cabinet maker. He worked at his trade first in Springfield, Mass., removing in 1825 to Syracuse, N.Y. He returned to Springfield, and died there.
