Augustus Skinner was born in Massachusetts and married in Connecticut.  He's believed to have moved to Chautauqua Co. NY (near Hanover NY) sometime before 1840. He moved to Erie Co PA and then to Ionia MI.  Augustus & Nancy Skinner moved back to Erie Co. PA (Girard) before his death believed to be in 1868.  Nothing is known of his parents or specific connection to Connecticut or Massachusetts Skinners.
