Biographical Notes

Bio Note*"Isaac served in the Virginia Militia at least as early as May, 1777, when he was made an ensign. On September 15, 1778, he was comissioned a Second Lieutenant. On May 14, 1793, he was "recommended by the County Court of Loudoun Co. to His Excellency Henry Lee, Governor of Virginia, to be commissioned as Captain of the Co., 2nd Battalion of the 56th Regiment" (order Book "P", p. 117). He served as a captain in the militia until 1800.1
